Mark Program

Program Mark calculates the saturation curves for pyroxenes, olivine, plagioclase, apatite, and a magmatic gas phase. It also calculates the fractional crystallization paths of silicate melts. The routines in Program Mark are described in the manuscripts and notes associated with the third part of the Theory and Analysis section of the course.

Download Procedures
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator, then versions of the programs that run under Windows can be downloaded clicking here: PPack.exe. There are no versions that run on a Macintosh. MeltProg.exe is a self-extracting file. All you have to do is run the file after downloading. After downloading the self-extracting file, move it to the directory where you want to keep the PearcePack program. Then run PPack.exe. When the extraction is finished you should have seven files in the directory: .exe, the PearcePack Program, PEARCEPACK.exe; two help-files: PPACK.HLP and PPACK.cnt; two data files: RKS2000.rks and XLFRAC.rks; and two systems files: PEAXIS.sys and TSPACE.sys.
