Characterization of Volcanic Rocks
Each of the subsections under theory and analysis gives you access to three electronic documents. These documents are Portable Document Format (*.pdf) files. The documents can be read on the screen or printed. To read and print the documents, your computer will have to have Adobe's Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader is furnished free of charge and you can obtain it by clicking on the following button:

The electronic documents can be downloaded to your computer by clicking the right mouse button when the cursor is over the underlined text fragments in the immediately following links:

One
Copy to your computer,
the three files that contain that part of the e-text you
want to read. To do this, place the cursor
over one the links to the to the files that you want to
copy: Part1.pdf,
Figures1.pdf, or Tables1.pdf.
Click the right mouse button and select "Save Link Target
As..." on the pop-up menu. When the "Save As"
dialog box opens save the file to a location of your choice
on your computer. Follow this procedure for all three files
that contain the e-text. At this point, you should have
the three *.pdf files stored on your computer as indicated by the following three icons:
